About Mission Border Hope
Mission Border Hope is the first stop in the United States for many who arrive with very little. This non-profit agency helps asylum seekers who have just had their applications approved by our government to enter the country legally, accommodating 100 to 200 people daily.
People they serve come from all over the world, however, currently there is a large influx of Congolese refugees from Africa who need assistance.
A typical stop at Mission Border Hope involves a one to two day stay to receive meals, a shower and a coat, as many are en route to meet their sponsors in colder parts of the country.
The high demands for adequate outerwear are challenging for Mission Border Hope to keep up with, therefore local Latter-day Saints and friends are offering to assist. To address the need, please consider sharing this invitation on social media or other platforms, inviting neighbors to contribute as we Light the World together.
